The Mountain Laurel is at peak now up on the Tin Mountain Conservation Center Property up on Bald Hill Road in Albany. Please call Karl at 603-356-6899 if you need more info. Tin Mountain has a nature walk to explore the Mountain Laurel this Saturday, see details below:

Wander with Tin Mountain staff through the most northerly, and perhaps largest, mountain-laurel population in NH. The shrubs should be at the height of bloom during this walk through an extraordinary forest community of pitch, red, and white pine, with scrub and red oak as well as other interested plant assemblages. Tin Mountain's Nature Program Series is sponsored in part by L.L. Bean and the Evenor Armington Foundation, and the Residence Inn by Marriott North Conway. Donations of $3/person or $5/family are appreciated; members are free. For more information call 447-6991.
